Fulfilling a dream from college, Steve opened his accounting practice in 1999. In between, he worked with local, regional, and national accounting firms and realized his passion was working and consulting with small business people.

Steve grew up in northern Nevada and graduated from the University of Nevada. After a few years stop on the California coast, it was an easy transition to Fort Collins where the mountains are “on the right side.”

Though having previously lived in some great areas of the country, like Charleston and Santa Barbara, Steve and Pamm believe Fort Collins is the best place they’ve been able to call home.

Zane Mess is a business account assistant at Steven J. Wick & Associates, P.C. He currently has an Associate’s degree and will be completing his Bachelor’s in Accounting this year.He was always drawn to numbers, puzzles and challenges as a young kid, entertaining himself with Sudoku puzzles, Rubik’s cubes, and more. He enjoyed finding the answer that existed, no matter how complicated, messy, or unclear the problem was.

Zane has lived in Colorado his entire life. He has lived in various cities in Northern Colorado and has been able to watch Fort Collins grow into a business-friendly city coupled with great hiking trails, biking paths, and camping sites (which he enjoys doing in his spare time). From the Garden of Spring Creek to Horse tooth Rock, he argues that it’s hard to not find something to do. If a quick bite is more your style, he recommends the The Mayor of Old Town and Coopersmith’s Pub & Brewing as his personal choices.

Accounting is his ultimate career goal, and he is working towards a CPA license. Zane is determined to watch his clients excel and grow through financial success.

Angie Allen is a business account assistant at Steven J. Wick & Associates, P.C. She unexpectedly fell into accounting, and it sparked a love at first go. She stayed in accounting for the challenge, diversity, and satisfaction of supporting other local Colorado businesses through their accounting services.She grew-up in the farming town of Fort Morgan, and welcomed the change of pace to Fort Collins when she moved there over 20 years ago. In those 20 years, she’s watched the city grow and welcome more opportunity for small or large local businesses in need of accounting services near them. She loves to spend time with her family and get out into the outdoors in her spare time.

Angie has over 20 years of combined experience in bookkeeping, extensive insight into the subcontracting construction industry, and business tax preparation within Fort Collins.

Most of all, Angie takes her client’s businesses to heart—their best interest and financials are personal matter to her so you can know you are in good hands.

Marlene Stafford has been with Steven J. Wick & Associates since December 2006. Marlene has been in accounting positions since graduating from high school. She is a Colorado native born in Leadville.Marlene graduated with an Associate’s degree in accounting from Aims Community College. She worked full-time and raised a family while going to college and was a member of the Honor Society.

She enjoys all aspects of accounting and payroll but especially likes learning from her clients and watching their businesses grow and succeed.
